This is what it says in an interview with him in the Sonntagszeitung newspaper on 5 November 2023, and he is in favour of the importance of coming to terms with the pandemic. It will take years.
Our TCM specialists include the well-known physician Dr Johannes G. Schmidt, who as a young doctor went abroad to train in clinical epidemiology due to a lack of opportunities here. Shortly before his retirement, he suffered a severe stroke and had to give up his practice. After a long convalescence, he continued his work as a critical observer of developments in medicine. The Covid pandemic prompted him to criticise the measures taken at the time and to warn against reacting in a similar way to other issues.
He presented me with a text for publication, which you can read here. Due to the consequences of the stroke, the pdf contains a few grammatical and spelling inconsistencies, but these can be overlooked.
